Cox Tutoring Group is a caring, student-centered tutoring practice specializing in getting your son or daughter ready for the all-important SAT and ACT tests.
We coach your child through all portions of the SATs and/or ACTs, paying particular attention to his/her individual concerns and weak spots. We provide your children with the skills, strategies and confidence they need to do well on this very important step in their academic journey.
We're experienced and thorough, and our students have enjoyed good success at "bumping up" their post-tutoring SAT scores (average increase for hundreds of students in the classes of 2007 through 2014 was 160+ points, and one of our '09 students raised his score 240 points to achieve a perfect score!). Our students have been accepted at some wonderful colleges including Dartmouth, Wellesley, William and Mary, UPenn, Brown, Tufts, West Point, Boston College, Brandeis, UMaryland, UConn, Ohio State, Purdue, Cornell, Vanderbilt, Furman, Loyola Maryland, George Washington, Quinnipiac, Union College, Trinity College, Providence College, Sacred Heart, RPI, Syracuse, Salve Regina and Florida State. And if your student needs help brainstorming or polishing that crucial college application essay, CTG is experienced in this area as well.
CTG can also help if your child needs coaching in regular academic middle school Math, Algebra I or II, Geometry, Pre-Calc, or Honors Calculus. Regular weekly tutoring sessions can make sure that your child doesn't fall behind or get lost just because of a difficulty with one concept or another. In addition, CTG can now refer you to tutors in the following areas: AP Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and History. Our colleague who teaches French was born and raised in Paris (ooh, la la!). We have also recently connected with a colleague who is available to work with students who may need help with organization, planning and general study skills.
Our central Massachusetts office is conveniently located in Westborough just off Route 9 at 30 Lyman St, Suite 5. Our building has plenty of free parking, and the parking lot is well-traveled and well-lit. We offer tutoring for all portions of the SAT and ACT tests as well as help with middle school and high school Math and college application essays in our Westborough office. After-school, evening and Saturday tutoring times are available.
